How Sanket’s loss became his brother Puneett’s gain

Sibling revelry for brothers, Sanket Choukse and Puneett Chouksey, goes beyond the realm of their personal lives. The former has been instrumental in the younger brother bagging his first show as the male lead. When offered the role of the lead in the show, Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story (NPKLLS), Sanket, who was already a part of another family drama, couldn’t take it up. So, the next thing he did was to suggest Puneett’s name for the part. He narrates, “I was offered to play the lead role in Naati Pinky... Since I had already taken up another show, Durga, I suggested Puneett’s name for it. My brother bagged the show and I was extremely happy about it.”

Sanket is currently seen in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 (SNS 2). At a time when actors are complaining about the lack of acting opportunities during the pandemic, he bagged not just one, but two shows! However, while the daily soap, Dil Jaise Dhadke… Dhadakne Do ended abruptly after just a month of being on air due to the pandemic, the other show, Durga, wrapped up in three months. The actor has now pinned his hopes on his latest outing, SNS 2. He shares, “I would call myself lucky to be working through these challenging times, but I have to admit that I was disappointed when my shows went off air in no time. I have high hopes from my latest show on TV.”
Despite the two setbacks, Sanket chose to stay positive. “I can’t keep sulking,” he says, adding, “It bogs you down, but I had to move on. I have taken to meditation, working out religiously, and pursuing my first love —singing. I used my free time constructively and focused on myself.”
