The Udaariyaan actor said, "When I started off as a radio jockey, I remembered how people used to call me and congratulate me on how I was able to give them advice when they called me on the show. They listened to my playlist and enjoyed my conversations. Even today, I have people responding with emails and messages sharing how they enjoy listening to songs on radio during late night drives."

Hitesh added, "Just like TV and films, radio will continue to be everywhere in the world. I remember my father used to be a great admirer of Ameen Sayani, popular radio announcer and anchor of many radio shows, and when I heard him, I realised that he is an inspiration. I had dreamt at that time to anchor a show on radio, and that's how I started pursuing my goal. Even today you find people listening to radio throughout the day specially at chai tapri stalls, paan stalls and in smaller towns people still enjoy listening to songs on radio. I feel that radio gives the liberty to listen to songs without any subscriptions and opt to listen to a RJ's playlist than making their own."

On the work front, Hitesh is glad that after Udaariyaan, he is playing a police officer in Aankh Micholi. He said, "I played a police officer in Shaurya Aur Anokhi, too. This role is different and I play the other guy in the lead heroine's life."
