Barun Sobti, who gained popularity for his show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon turns a year older on August 21. The handsome actor is currently enjoying fatherhood phase and is spending quality time with his newborn baby girl Sifat. The 34-year-old actor got married to his childhood sweetheart Pashmeen Manchanda. The two realised that they were in love when they went to college. The couple got married on December 2010 and the two were blessed with a daughter Sifat in July 2019. Barun's wife Pashmeen doesn't belong to the TV industry.
Barun likes to keep his personal life away from the limelight and maintains a low profile. The actor became a household name with his spectacular performances on the small screen but he quit TV to pursue a career in Bollywood.
During childhood days,

was a soccer champ in school and when he realized that his passion has no career he left the sport.
Barun never wanted to become an actor but his childhood friends Karan Wahi and Priyanka Bassi forced him to become an actor. Before entering into the TV industry, Barun worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years.

Barun made his TV debut with daily soap Shraddha and played the role of Swayam Khurana opposite Neha Janpandit. He later played a negative cameo role in Dill Mill Gayee.
