Golden Temple visit humbles Arif Zakaria

Actor Arif Zakaria, who recently returned to Mumbai after a long film shoot in Punjab, is happy that his wish to visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar has finally been fulfilled.
Arif loves to visit holy places and has been doing it over the years. He says, “Being in Punjab for a month, I was keen to explore the state. I had planned to visit the Golden Temple several times, but it never materialised.There is a saying that you get to visit a holy place only if God wants you to. There are a lot of stories revolving around the origin and construction of this temple. Did you know that the foundation of the Golden Temple was laid by a Muslim saint?
