Actress Gautami Kapoor was recently in Jaipur, and despite the fact that it was her first visit to the city, it seemed like she’d done her research on it. She told us, “It sounds surprising but it’s true that I am coming to Jaipur for the first time.
It’s a city people come to from all across the world to know more about the Indian culture, its rich history and heritage.
In fact, when I was told that we will go to Jaipur for the promotions, I was delighted that I would finally get to see one of India’s most beautiful cities and relish daal baati churma. Because of a packed schedule, we are here just for a few hours, but I will make sure that I come back to Jaipur with my family for a nice weekend and visit all the places, especially the ones that offer authentic Rajasthani food.” Another thing that made her fall in love with Jaipur was the cleanliness of the city. “Though I could not see much of the city, based on what I saw, I can say that Jaipur is a very neat and clean city.”

After taking a break from TV, Gautami is now back with a new show Tere Shehar Mein, where she plays a mother to three teenage daughters. She said that being a mother in real life helped her portray the role well. She explained, “When you are a mother, your approach towards life becomes more practical. You know how to deal with the problems and challenges of life, especially dealing with your kids. Though kids at different ages have different problems, but after raising two children, I have become more mature and that helped with this role.” She also admitted that she missed the attention when she was away from TV. “It was a conscious decision to stay away to look after my kids. I completely dedicated myself to them. It’s true that at times, I used to miss the limelight. Now, I have decided to be back on screen as they have grown up and I can juggle between my personal and professional life,” she added.
