Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy are the newest parents in town. The couple was blessed with a twin boy and a girl on July 25 and were discharged from the hospital with their babies this afternoon (July 30).
Pankhuri wore a floral pink co-ord set for her first appearance with her little ones while Gautam dressed up in a smart shirt and denims. The couple held the babies happily as they posed for photos.
They also thanked the paps when they congratulated them. Pankhuri added, "Thank you for all the love. Keep blessing our kids. That's all we need." Even Gautam said, "We need good wishes from everyone."
After the delivery of their twins, Gautam and Pankhuri spoke exclusively to BT and shared how they feel 'blessed' and their family feels complete now.
Gautam also added, "Some of our relatives are saying that our son looks like me, while our daughter looks like Pankhuri. Actually, it’s too early to tell. I am just happy and glad that the babies are fine and the mother is doing well."
He further said, "The feeling of becoming a father is slowly sinking in. Yes, I am ready for some sleepless nights now. I am looking forward to this beautiful journey ahead."
This year several television couples have been blessed with their first babies. The list includes Gauahar Khan, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, and former actress Sana Khan. All of them have had baby boys.
