Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan's Amandeep Sidhu on her childhood Makar Sankranti proposal: 'He wrote his number on a kite'
Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan is all set to showcase a unique Makar Sankranti celebration starring its lead pair Amandeep Sidhu (Sneha) and Sheizaan Khan (Siddhu). The show will soon air the Makar Sankranti celebration episode, where Siddhu finally confesses his feelings for Sneha by writing them on a kite. Interestingly, Amandeep Sidhu had a real-life Makar Sankranti proposal during her childhood, which is quite adorable.
Recalling how, during one of the Makar Sankranti celebrations, she did receive a proposal that too on a kite, Amandeep shares, ‘I was in eighth or ninth standard, living in Delhi. There was a boy who lived near my lane, it was typical galli mohalle wala pyaar. We never really spoke to each other, not even a hello or a hi. We would just see each other from our windows at a fixed time. During one of the kite-flying days, he wrote his phone number on one of his kites. I still remember what happened clearly. And then I remember calling him. It’s such an adorable memory.’’
Talking about the Makar Sankranti scene that she recently shot for Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, the actress says that the scenes may look really fun when you watch them, but it was extremely challenging to shoot. Amandeep says, "Shooting the Makar Sankranti scene was challenging for us because we had to work in very cold weather, it was around three to four degrees. We had to be on set early, around 7 to 8 in the morning, because we were filming a scene that takes place during the day and that made it even tougher. It was really windy, and the air was moving around a lot. But I would also like to point out that we also had great fun while shooting the Makar Sankranti celebration, it was a shoot which didn’t feel like one, we enjoyed a lot.’’
The show is getting ready for a big surprise during the Makar Sankranti celebration. Sneha is going to find out something that will change everything. She will soon learn that Siddhu, whom she thinks is her friend and confidant, is actually the son of Durgawati.
