From taking a year and a half to decide to buying two 3BHK flats; Aly Goni shares his excitement about moving in with girlfriend Jasmin Bhasin

Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin are one of the most adored couples in the telly town. The duo have their unique charm, you wouldn't find them making any special couple appearances, they love to be more like besties than love birds. In a recent podcast with InControversial, Aly got candid about moving in with Jasmin, and how they had been planning it for more than a year.

Before moving in Jasmin and I discussed a lot, it took us a year and a half to convince each other to make this decision. We planned on how we would stay together and all because we both didn't want to have anything that would create problems between us because we hadn't stayed together before.

Our friends who are either married or in a relationship kept advising us that we should stay together and see how the relationship turns. I have always believed that it is important to live together and see. I didn't want anything to happen which would make things sour between us so we took our time to discuss and plan on how will we stay together.

We planned and we are shifting together, we have two different sides. We have bought a house in such a way that we can have our own space. We bought two 3 BHK flats and have merged them into one by breaking the middle wall. One side is Jasmin's and one is mine. My side will have my room, walk-in closet and all. And her side will have all her things.

Beechmein humare kitchens hai and hall. So I have a habit of leaving the TV on and sleeping, Jasmin used to have a problem with that because she wouldn't be able to sleep. So with this, there won't be such issues. We are both busy with our work, so faltu cheezon mein dimag lagta hi nahi hai. She has so many outdoor shoots so I don't think there would be much of a difference but we are both very excited about it.

I still face discrimination, even when we were hunting houses for moving in, I can tell you 50 such buildings where landlords told us, 'hum Muslims ko ghar nahi dete'. They have such a narrow mindset and most of them are old people so there is no point in arguing with them. So Jasmin takes the initiative in such cases.

The best part about our relationship is our friendship. It is easier to live with a friend than a girlfriend. We still have that friendship in us. We handle our fights like friends, we don't bring up our egos. If we fight, I would tell her 'chal chhod na yaar'. So with this bond, our relationship is easier and smooth sailing. We know each other very well. Jaise ek dost jaanta hai, waise couple ko jaan ne mein 20 saal lag jayenge.
