From several fractures and injuries to finally getting out of the ICU; All about Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan's fatal car accident

Indian Idol 12 Winner Pawandeep Rajan was recently involved in a tragic car accident near Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on May 5. Pawandeep and two others were rushed to a nearby hospital before being transferred to a Delhi hospital for further treatment. Here's a look at what had happened and how much has the singer recovered.

Pawandeep was travelling to Noida from his home town with his friend Ajay Mehra and driver Rahul Singh. As reported after investigation, Rahul Singh, the driver, reportedly dozed off while driving the vehicle, causing him to lose control of it. Because of this, Pawandeep's car collided with the rear end of an Eicher Canter truck.

As soon as the crash occurred, people around the site reached to help and the police was prompt to come for the rescue. They rushed Pawandeep and the other two to the nearest hospital for medical care. Pawandeep sustained fractures in both legs and a serious head injury. While his friend and driver were critically injured.

Further, looking at the severity of their injuries, Pawandeep and the other two were transferred to a private hospital's intensive care unit. Pawandeep's family then arranged for his transfer to Fortis Hospital in Noida for further medical treatment.

Pawandeep's team later took to his Instagram handle and shared a statement updating about his health, "Hi everyone, as you all are aware that Pawandeep Rajan met with a tragic road accident on 5th May early morning near Moradabad, UP while he was on his way to Delhi to catch a flight to Ahmedabad for an event. Initially, he was operated at a nearby available facility but later he was shifted to a better hospital in Delhi NCR. He has suffered with multiple major fractures and few small injuries."

The statement further revealed that the singer shall have yet another surgery in few days again, "Yesterday was a very difficult and hard day for the family and all his well-wishers. The whole day he was struggling with severe pain and unconsciousness. However, after a whole lot of diagnosis and examinations, he was taken into the operation theatre around 7 pm and after 6 hours some of his major fractures have been operated on successfully and he is currently in Medical ICU under observation. Post 3-4 days rest he will again be operated for the rest of the fractures and injuries."

With the recent update, Pawandeep's friend Govind Digari took to his Instagram to share a picture with Pawandeep, he was smiling as he was resting in the hospital. The singer is finally out from the ICU and has been under observation as the injuries are severe. His friend captioned the post, "Aap sabhi ke aashirwad se Pawan ab kaafi theek hai."

Uttarakhand's CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also took to his X (Formerly known as Twitter) handle to share a message for Pawandeep, he wrote, “Received the news of famous singer Pawandeep Rajan getting injured in a road accident. I pray to God for his speedy recovery.”
