‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’ famed
Radhika Madan has left the netigens upset by her remarks on the workplace atmosphere in the television industry. While many from the industry have express their disagreement, Ruchi Singh Anshu Srivastava and Inderjeet Modi have shared their voice on the matter.
Vighnaharta Ganesh famed Ruchi Singh, talks about Radhika's comment on TV.
She says,"I do believe that every profession comes with its own challenges. It is true that working hours in the TV industry have always been hectic, but we can't neglect the kind of stardom we TV actors get.”
Anshu Srivastava from the show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, says, "Obviously, long working hours are a part of every actor's life… And it's not that hard because we also get breaks during which we can do anything we like to. No one can demean the profession by saying anything because television, for us, is the medium for earning our bread and butter."
Actor Inderjeet Modi from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan feels actors should be given weekly offs. He further added, To be honest, I do believe that offs aren't necessary. However, if the shooting schedule is really hectic and we are shooting continuously for 16 hours a day, then we surely deserve a day off. On a regular 12 hour shift, I don't think an off is necessary. Saying that the daily soap industry has a dysfunctional work environment is something which I don't agree with."
