From revealing why he refuses to do Bigg Boss to finding Comedy Night Bachao awful; Arjun Bijlani gets candid about his choice of picking reality shows

Be it hosting or acting Arjun Bijlani has nailed it all. In a fun podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, the actor got candid about why he doesn't want to be a part of Bigg Boss, losing his father at the age of 19 and more. Take a look at what Arjun had to share:

Arjun's take on not doing Bigg Boss

Haarsh talks about how he has been continuously invested in Bigg Boss, Arjun said, "You get engaged in the opinions. And then you also start giving reactions to it. I have also done it. Imagine ghar ke bahar se you are so engaged. If you are locked in Bigg Boss house, you have no contact with your family, you don't have your phone, don't get food in time. Don't know when are you sleeping and waking up. Frustration ke saare angle ek aadmi pe thop diye. Usmein ek aadmi ka worst hi niklega."

Lost his dad when he was 19, was extremely hot-tempered

Arjun further added, "Nobody is perfect, we all have our bad sides. But I want to live the good side of me. When I was younger, I had seen how hot-tempered I was. I lost my dad when I was 19. I have seen that side of me and I don't want to go back to that. That is why I keep denying the show. I can't explain that, I don't want to get back into something where I have to talk about things I have left behind in my life. I have completely changed myself as I have to be more responsible and a person that is more loving and kind."

Had toppled a rickshaw in rage in his youth days

Arjun shares an anecdote when he had toppled a rickshaw in rage, "My mom used to ask me to wear pearls to stay calm as I was extremely hot-tempered. I had once toppled the rickshaw but there was a reason behind it. We had to return home at 12:30 am in the night and the rickshaw wala was not ready to come. As per laws, govt vehicles are not supposed to say no to you. My mom, my younger brother and I were returning home, we asked the rickshaw to take us from Charkop to Malad. But he refused, I requested 2-3 times and then I put the meter down and sat. He got down saying he won't go and I toppled his rickshaw only. I was barely 22-23 years old. Wasn't even a star back then."

Recalling memories of Kitchen Champion

As they talk about Laughter Chefs and the joy the show gives, Arjun recalls hosting the first cooking show that came on TV with celebs 'Kitchen Champion' He said, "Three kids used to be the judges of the show." Haarsh added, "We had also participated in the show and then we even took Garvit from the three kids for our show." Arjun added, "Aree bhai woh bohot bolta hai." Bharti added, "Ek number ka shararti baccha hai woh. I used to tell Haarsh that Golla shouldn't be like Garvit."

Found Comedy Nights Bachao awful

While Haarsh and Arjun discuss the limit an artists' show has while making jokes. Especially when it turns offensive towards someone's appearance, body shaming and all. Arjun added, "There was this show, Comedy Nights Bachao, I found that awful, there was a lot of humiliation. I cannot say someone such things. If you see my hosting, I wouldn't go on that tangent. I think twice before saying something. If someone gets offended even by my joke then apologise 10 times."

7/7

Talks about situational comedy that happens in Laughter Chefs

Arjun shares, "On laughter Chefs we have situational comedy, we don't know how to cook, we fail to bring atta, steal each others' things all this is natural on the show. I am someone competitive and I always end up having the wrong atta but I don't give up." When Haarsh asked who doesn't know how to cook on the show completely, Arjun replied, "Rahul, he is the music element on the show. He is also quite funny. He entertains all of us. Now we all have a good chemistry. Nobody gets offended. Now we definitely know how to cook. We can now survive."
