From making an exit from Maddam Sir to her legal battle with Bhabiji's producers; Times when Shilpa Shinde courted controversies

Shilpa Shinde has been a popular actress in the Television Industry, fans have loved her for her character Angoori Bhabi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain and she was much applauded for her Bigg Boss 11 victory. The actress has been in news recently for her fallout with Maddam Sir, she was not happy with her character and decided to end the stint. Apart from that, Shilpa has made headlines for these major controversies to date. Take a look:

In an exclusive interview with BT, Shilpa Shinde revealed that she was unhappy with her character and track in Maddam Sir. She said, "My role as Naina Mathur was a cameo and it was going to last for 10-15 days. I took it up because it sounded quite challenging. I shot for a few days and then suddenly, I was told to take a break. While shooting for the show, I also got to know that it was going to wrap up and would have a second season later. I have been wondering what's happening to my track. If I had been told that I would have to take a break like this, I would not have taken up the offer."

Shilpa Shinde revealed in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 that after she decided to quit the show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, her family was quite against her decision and they used to insult her. Due to this, she decided to cut ties with her family members as she was hurt by seeing how all of them mocked and humiliated her. Later, Madhuri Dixit called her brother, but she put him down by not agreeing to reconcile with him or her family.

Shilpa Shinde was slated to make her television debut with Sunil Grover's 'Gangs of Filmistan' (GOF), however, the actress dropped out before the show could air. The actress filed serious allegations against the producers of the comedy show, accusing them of overstretching work hours, abusing the artists, failing to provide her with a script, and violating the new criteria.

In an interview to ETimes TV, she said, "We have been shooting from seven in the morning to eleven in the night. I don't know where these association people are. Why don't they notice this.? How artists are being exploited? They are always there to sabotage someone's image, but when we are working for 12 hours and more, nobody is raising a question. We were told that we will shoot for the show only twice a week but we are shooting every day."

Shilpa and Romit Raj were supposed to get married in 2009, but they split up before the wedding. Shilpa then described Romit as "very calculative and domineering". Her mother had also stated that after dating for a while, they found they had opposing opinions and that their families were also very different.

Shilpa gained massive popularity as Angoori Bhabhi in the show and also became a household name. However, she decided to quit the show in 2016 after a disagreement with the producers, whom she claimed of mentally torturing her. She did not hesitate to call her show's producer, a tyrant, and even went for a legal battle with them.
