From getting arrested for rash driving to abusing his co-stars: A look at Bigg Boss 13 contestant Sidharth Shukla's controversial life

Popular television actor Sidharth Shukla, who is currently part of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss season 13, has turned a year older today (December 12). The handsome actor has always been in news for various reasons. Inside the Bigg Boss 13 house, Sidharth and Rashami Desai's fight has gained a lot of attention from the audiences but his fights on the sets of his show outside in the past have also been in news. Sidharth Shukla was also called the 'tantrum' king as he used to create a ruckus because of his demands. He was also known for arriving late on the sets. A look at some of his controversies.

Recently, Sidharth's co-star from Balika Vadhu Sheetal Khandal, who played the role of Gehna, accused him of having touched her inappropriately. In an exclusive interview with TimesofIndia.com, Sheetal had said, "I was laughing recently when I saw him taking a stand for Arti Singh on Bigg Boss 13 as in real life the kind of language he has used with me and comments that he has made for me are nothing compared to what Siddhartha Dey has said for Arti. He used to pass vulgar and double meaning jokes on me. He also passed comments which I can't even share with you. I had complained about him to one of the creative producers of the show after which he created a huge ruckus on the sets. When he arrived the next day on the sets he was yelling at the top of his voice against me. From body-shaming to passing derogatory comments he has done everything and on Bigg Boss 13 he is trying to project himself as one 'mahaan' (great) person."

Balika Vadhu star Sidharth was arrested for rash driving on July 22, 2018. The actor was driving his car at a high speed and suddenly lost control due to which he hit three cars before ramming in the divider. The cops had filed a case under him under section 279, 337 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actor was released after paying a penalty of Rs 5000.

Dil Se Dil Tak show featured Sidharth and Rashami Desai in lead roles. Reportedly, Sidharth got into a fight with Rashami on the sets of their show. It is rumoured that Sidharth and Rashami were once dating each other but things got worse between the two. Later again Sidharth Shukla refused to shoot for the show as his vanity van was smaller than Rashami.

On the sets of Dil Se Dil Tak, actor Kunal Verma criticised Sidharth Shukla for his worse behavior with his co-stars. He said that Shukla used to abuse everyone and he even threw water at him. In an interview with TimesofIndia.com, Kunal said, "He is an unprofessional maniac and a psycho. I think he needs psychiatric treatment again. I heard he had gone to rehab once and I think he needs to visit it again."

Sidharth Shukla was working with Toral Rasputra in the Balika Vadhu show. According to reports, it is said that things became worse between Shukla and Toral when they were shooting the honeymoon sequence in Kashmir. After returning from Kashmir, both actors were not on talking terms.

Sidharth Shukla was once again caught for drunk driving in 2014. He was booked for 'Drunk and Drive' case and was released after he paid a fine of Rs 2000.

Sidharth Shukla is often termed as the tantrum king. It is reported that Shukla used to throw tantrums on the sets of the show with his unnecessary demands and used to arrive late on the sets. According to Sheetal, Sidharth likes to throw his weight around and give people a difficult time, 'I am not surprised with Sidharth Shukla's behaviour. I have personally seen and I know what kind of person he is. People who have worked with him are aware of how he throws his weight around. When I worked with him on Balika Vadhu, he was known for throwing tantrums. He used to arrive on sets late, make us wait for him to begin the shoot. The production house had a difficult time working with him," said the actress.
