From decorating her house with 51 diyas to donning her Pavitra Rishta saree, Ankita Lokhande shares a sneak peek of her Dussehra celebrations

Ankita Lokhande often shares glimpses of her personal life with fans through social media and vlogs. In her latest YouTube vlog, the actress took viewers inside her Dussehra celebration. She marked the festival with family and friends while celebrating the victory of good over evil. Ankita also spoke about the meaning of the festival and recalled some sweet childhood memories. Her home looked beautiful as she decorated it with 51 diyas to mark the occasion. Adding to the festive charm, Ankita wore a saree from her Pavitra Rishta days, making the celebration even more special.

In her vlog, Ankita Lokhande appears in a beautiful red chiffon saree. She asks her fans if they remember the saree and mentions that it is from her hit show Pavitra Rishta. The actress further asks her viewers to recall the exact scene in which she wore it. Ankita shares that even today, many videos from Pavitra Rishta are popular on Instagram. She then playfully adds that whoever guesses the correct scene will get to keep the saree. Calling it one of her favourites, Ankita says she has treasured it but now feels it deserves to be owned by someone else.

A day before Dussehra, Ankita revealed that she had already begun decorating her house for the festival. She shared that she usually starts her preparations a day early and covers her home with rangoli, flowers and diyas, starting right from the entrance. Talking about its importance, she explained the real meaning of Dussehra. Ankita said, “Dussehra ka matlab yeh hota hai, jis din hum Ravan ko jalate hai aur apne andar ki buri cheezein—krodh, irsha ya negativity—sab khatam kar dete hai.” She added that the day is about destroying what harms us internally.

While getting ready on Dussehra morning, Ankita remembered a heartwarming tradition from her childhood. She shared that her father would always play a piece by Ustaad Bismillah Khan, the legendary shehnai player, during every festival. Continuing the tradition, Ankita said she too plays the same shehnai piece on Dussehra. Listening to it, she feels connected to her father and his presence in her home. Ankita mentioned that this ritual has now become a part of her own celebrations. For her, the sound of the shehnai brings both comfort and memories of her late father.

In the vlog, Ankita also showed the decorations she had done for the festival and spoke about the pooja of all the gods and goddesses. Her husband Vicky Jain then joined the vlog to share an update on his health. Vicky recalled his accident when a glass broke in his hand, leaving him badly injured. While talking about recovery, he added that even his foot was hurt during this time. Ankita explained that to fix his hand wound, a part of skin from his foot had to be used.

During the Dussehra celebration, actor Arjun Bijlani’s wife Neha Swami and their son Aayan joined Ankita. She was seen having a sweet conversation with Aayan, asking him about meeting his dad in the show Rise and Fall. Aayan shared that he felt overwhelmed seeing his father and called him his “super hero.” Ankita, later sent Arjun her best wishes from outside. She said, “Arjun we are missing you and are very proud of you.” Ankita also wished for his success and added that he should return home with the trophy.

Later in the vlog, Ankita began her Dussehra pooja along with family and friends. She was joined by her husband Vicky Jain, Neha Swami, Aayan, and other close ones. Together, they performed rituals and prayed with full devotion. Ankita could be seen singing aartis and leading the prayers with a bright smile. The group sought blessings of the almighty for health, happiness, and prosperity.
