From Chandan Prabhakar’s decision to take some time off to Upasana Singh quitting after not being ‘creatively satisfied’: Comedians who left The Kapil Sharma Show midway

The Kapil Sharma Show is among the most adored comedy shows that enjoys a huge fan base. It features some of the most talented comedians. Unfortunately, a few of these popular artists left the show due to various reasons. The new season is premiering on September 10 and the latest news suggest, that Chandan Prabhakar has left the show. Here are some of the other artists to quit TKSS...

Prior to the launch of the new season, Kapil’s childhood friend Chandan Prabhakar is also quitting the show, even though the comedian was seen in the promo of the show. Chandan stated that he needed to take some time away and there is no other reason behind this decision.

Krushna refuted all rumours of a fight with Kapil and did hint that he might return to the show. He went on to say that they were all planning to leave for shows in Australia at the same time. He further added “Koi nahi, hum aaj raat ko jaare hain Australia saath mein. Kapil aur main pata nahi kya afwaahe hain ki aisa hogaya waisa hogaya. Theek hai. Koi issue nahi hai. I love him, he loves me. Mera bhi show hai woh, I will be back again (Nothing, we all are leaving for Australia tonight. I don't know why there are rumours about me and Kapil....It is my show as well and I will be back again)” A close source told TOI, “One of the major concerns was the fee. Eventually, monetary differences prompted him to leave TKSS. However, we are hoping that the differences get resolved in due course of time and Krushna returns to the show. We are not ruling out the possibility yet.”

Upasana Singh is best known for her role as 'Bua' on Comedy Nights With Kapil, and she has been absent from Kapil's show for quite some time. In a conversation with BT, the TV star denied having disagreements with Kapil. She further added “I did a few episodes with Kapil but then I realized I wanted to do something creatively satisfying than just be a part of his show for a few minutes. Kapil and I are on good terms and we regularly communicate with each other. I am hoping that he will someday write a role for me because that will justify my talent and creatively satisfy me as an actor. I don't want to work because I have to do something on television. That's the reason, currently, I haven't taken up any projects on television.”

Navjot Singh Sidhu was reportedly asked to leave 'The Kapil Sharma Show' following his comments on the Pulwama terror attack. The move came after Sidhu's comments on the attack received major flak. A section of fans threatened to boycott the show and Sidhu. This reportedly caused his absence from the show. Later, Archana Puran Singh, who is still a cast member of the show, joined the team.

Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma had a heated argument on their return flight from Australia's tour in 2017. Kapil allegedly verbally abused and assaulted Sunil during the flight, prompting the latter's departure from The Kapil Sharma Show. He played Dr. Mashoor Gulati and was absolutely adored by the audience. But things are better between the two now that they exchange birthday greetings and pose for photographs. Sunil was recently hospitalized after having a heart attack and undergoing bypass surgery, and Kapil asserted that he was shocked to hear about Sunil's health and had texted him to inquire about his condition.

Sugandha Mishra was introduced on the show as a teacher with a distinctive hairstyle, but her time on Kapil's show came to an end after her fight with Sunil Grover. Sugandha said, “After Sunil Grover ji left, there were many changes that happened in the format of the show. And we were not called again. I was going with the flow and I feel my journey with the show halted there.” Sugandha happily married comedian Dr. Sanket Bhosale, and the couple has been seen performing together.

Ali Asgar appeared on the show as 'daadi' and other characters, but he never returned after the mid-air quarrel between Kapil and Sunil. However, Ali said in an interview with IANS said that he left the show due to creative conflicts with Kapil and the team. He says, “We worked there for the longest period of time, but after a certain point, there was a time when I felt that I should move from the show because I had creative differences with Kapil and his team. My character wasn't going anywhere and it was becoming stagnant and I felt there was no scope for creative improvement.” Ali is currently seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10.
