From building a walk-in closet for wife Neha to an electric fireplace: Arjun Bijlani gives a glimpse into his modern and luxurious house in Mumbai

Actor Arjun Bijlani opens the doors to his stunning Mumbai home in an exclusive interaction with Mashable India. From a cozy Santorini-themed balcony to a walk-in closet he built especially for his wife, Neha, Arjun’s house reflects his taste, emotions, and journey. Here’s a glimpse into his modern yet warm home, filled with meaningful details, family memories, and thoughtful design.

2/10

An Entrance Full of Love

Arjun’s home begins with a deeply emotional touch – its very name. “I think this is the most important thing that people should know about my house. I've named my house after my mom, Shakti. And I think her blessing is the most important thing that I need in this house. My mom is everything for me, she's been there like a rock. And her name will always protect this house, so that's why her name. And it says so much, Shakti.”

3/10

Living Space for Togetherness

Arjun designed his living space with family and friends in mind. “My living space. We have these kind of C-shaped sofas, literally like a C. So that whenever somebody comes home, you're there facing each other. It gives a more personal vibe, so it's been well thought through,” he shares. The unique seating arrangement fosters interaction and creates an inviting atmosphere. Adding a playful note, Arjun says, “And yeah, this is that chair which is for my wife. Maharani sits here.” This thoughtful design highlights the couple’s bond and focus on making everyone feel included.

A Warm Electric Fireplace

For Arjun, home is about comfort and calmness, and his electric fireplace perfectly captures that feeling. “This is the TV. This is like a fireplace. And when it's dark and we have guests over, it gives a very nice, warm vibe,” he explains. The area’s subtle, soothing theme speaks volumes about his personality. “If you see, the theme is pretty much beige and it's pretty kind of settled. It's not very loud. I don't like things that are too gaudy, so I've kept it simple, subtle and white. I think that suggests how I am also. So, it kind of calms me down when I come home.”

Awards, artefacts and belief

Arjun’s home proudly displays symbols of hard work, history, and faith. “That's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. And since we live in Maharashtra, I think his presence gives you that roar in your life,” he says, showing a powerful figurine. Among the artefacts are his most cherished awards. “A few more awards, and that's one of my favourite awards. Winner, season 11, Khatron Ke Khiladi. Reminds me how hard I've worked for that show and to win that show. So, it keeps me going again.” His deep devotion to Lord Ganesha also shines through. “And this is the latest addition in my house, the Ganpati Bappa painting. Everybody knows, everyone knows what a strong believer I am in Bappa. So, I got this painting and it's kind of alive, I feel. Every time I'm moving in the house or I come in the house, the first thing I want to see is him. And it feels great.” This corner embodies inspiration and spiritual energy.

A pop of colour

While most of Arjun’s home has soft, neutral tones, one area bursts with vibrant energy. “You must be wondering, in all this subtle atmosphere, suddenly this pop-up sofa come bed,” he says with a smile. “So, usually the sunset happens there in the balcony. And now though it's raining, so there are no sunsets. But I like, it kind of gives, yellow is a vibrant colour. It kind of gives you that sense of confidence and you feel good when you sit here. So, a lot of times me, Neha, Ayaan, we all sit on this sofa. In our comfort zone like this, we just talk to each other. And yeah, the colour because I like yellow as well.”

7/10

His Santorini theme balcony space

Arjun’s favorite part of the house is his stunning balcony, inspired by the serene beauty of Santorini. “And this is my favourite place in my house. My cosy corners. This is the space I worked really hard on, to create that kind of feeling. If you've seen, we've used the Santorini theme here. White and blue, and we've played with that.” The breathtaking view adds to its charm. “And here's the skyline. I think this is the fun of Mumbai. If you can see the sea from the high-rise, and you can feel the whole of Mumbai, the metro is going there. It looks like a toy train from here. It looks nice.” This is also an emotional space for Arjun. “A lot of thinking is done here when I stand here. A lot of decision-making is done here, where I am right now. And here is, again, when we all sit together, chit-chat, laugh. The corner where there's a lot of love, a lot of conversations, a lot of good times. And I think we all have that one place in our house, that one corner that we always remember. And I think this space is that space in my house.”

8/10

His son’s room

Arjun’s son Ayaan’s room is filled with his passions and creativity. “These posters, he loves Ronaldo, and I love Messi. And he keeps fighting with me for that. And these are all the Legos which Ayaan has made. He's in love with Lego. So yeah, he's a Lego boy.” The room reflects Ayaan’s dreams and energy. “And that's his room. He wanted a bunk bed, I don't know why, but we just thought since he wants it, we'll make it. And yes, these are his superheroes. And he's in love with planes, so he can tell you all about planes.” Arjun beams with pride as he points to his son’s achievements. “Yeah, so this is his space. And this is something I got for him since he loves soccer so much. These are all his medals. So proud of you, my child.” The room is vibrant, joyful, and deeply personal.

9/10

Their bedroom

The master bedroom is both functional and peaceful. “This is my room. So, they have these French windows. The view is pretty good. And this is my massage chair. When I'm tired from shooting, I sit here, listen to my wife, and relax here.” Arjun also enjoys moments of solitude in this space. “Yes, another space where I just, when I wake up, I like to just be here sometimes. Or I just sit on the chair, obviously not taking a massage all the time, but I just like to sit down and sleep outside. It feels good.” It’s also a practical area for work. “This is like a study table. I do a lot of, when I have to do some work, then I sit with my laptop, and this space is for that. And come, I'll take you to the dressing. So here are all the watches, and bells, and perfumes, and other stuff.”

10/10

A walk-in closet he promised his wife Neha

One of the most emotional corners of the house is Neha’s dream fulfilled – her walk-in closet. “This is the walk-in wardrobe. Neha always wanted one, so I had promised her, that whenever I make a house, I'll give you a walk-in wardrobe.” Arjun reflects on his journey with gratitude. “Earlier we used to live in a 2BHK, and we were like six of us. In the sense, me, my mom, my brother, Neha, Ayaan, my dog, and my help. So we all used to live in a 2BHK.” Hard work and perseverance made this possible. “And yeah, worked really hard, so whenever I get a house, I'll definitely get my wife a walk-in wardrobe. It's a good feeling.”
