Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Dilip Joshi once revealed that he was jobless for a year before he bagged the iconic role of Jethalal. The popular actor mentioned in an interview with an online portal how he didn't have any work for a year before he signed Taarak Mehta.

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary

Priyanka won many hearts from her Bigg Boss 16 stint. However, it came to fans notice after she wasn’t seen working on TV or any platform for long. Even though she recently bagged a project with actor Tushar Kapoor, she opened up about struggling to get work and being unwell for a while. In an interview with Bombay Times, she said, “I have been auditioning for some time now and it is true that a TV actor takes longer to bag a film or web show. It hasn’t been easy.”

Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi actor Shaheer Sheikh struggled to get work for almost a year. In an interview with an online portal, he talked about the time when he turned to photography to earn money as he had no work. He shared, “There was a big gap between Navya and Mahabharat when I had switched to photography. I started doing photography.”

Maniesh Paul once opened up about struggling to get work for a year in the initial days of his career. He mentioned that he saw a time when he had no work and couldn’t afford to pay the rent of his house in Mumbai. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kasauti Zindagi Kay fame actor Ronit Roy once revealed that he was jobless for around 4 years in a row. He spoke about how he went into depression during those days and even turned into an alcoholic. The actor revealed that he would make money by making guest appearances on TV shows, which would make him earn Rs 2000-3000 every three to four months.

Sumona Chakravarti, who’s best known for her comedy in The Kapil Sharma Show talked about being unemployed as well. She made a post on Instagram and talked about having no work but still feeling privileged to be able to feed herself and her family. The actress also talked about battling endometriosis for years now. “I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself,” read a part of her long note.
