From being called 'dominating' to talking about recovery from alcohol addiction: Highs and lows of Pooja Bhatt's journey in Bigg Boss OTT 2

Pooja Bhatt is one of the finalists in Bigg Boss OTT 2. The actress has had quite a journey in the house with many ups and downs. But she has stood tall and braved them all. She made friends, had fights and was even called dominating by some. She also didn't shy away from talking about her personal life, be it her marriage with Manish Mukhija or recovery from alcohol addiction. Take a look at some of the highlights of her journey in the house of Bigg Boss.

Fights in the house

Pooja may have gotten upset temporarily with a few contestants in the house but the only big fight that she had in the house was with Jiya Shankar. It happened after a task when Pooja accused Jiya of her frequently changing friendships in the house. She said, "There's always a confusion about Jiya's friendship because her group changes every week in the house. Jiya ke haseen relationships aur badalte relationships. She calls Avinash best friend and then says he is the worst thing in the world. She gives Falaq a heart and then fights with Falaq. When she gets pushed into a corner, she sits in the corner and cries." When Jiya fought back by telling Pooja, "I have complicated relationships and whenever I fail, I apologise and try to mend things, so what's wrong in that." Later, when Jiya slammed Pooja for always supporting Bebika, Pooja called her 'toxic' and 'slow poison'.

Dad Mahesh Bhatt's entry in the house to meet Pooja

Mahesh Bhatt's entry in the family week to meet daughter Pooja was one of the biggest highlights. Among many things they talked about, one of them was his new found respect for Pooja. He praised her for being calm and going out of the way to do household chores. He told her, "You have made me feel proud. I am seeing you as a person here. When a student becomes better than the teacher then in our customs the teacher bows down to the student." This got them both emotional. Mahesh Bhatt also spoke about the time he had Pooja and how 'she looked angry' when she was born. He also praised her for stepping in for the family when they faced a financial crisis.

Friends in the house

Pooja and Bebika Dhurve became close friends during their stay in the house. Even though Pooja has always been supportive of her, she has also been critical. The two ended up fighting during the 'Ticket to Finale' task. Pooja told her, "When I like someone, I give them the privilege to bite my head if they want to. I’ve given that thing to Bebika because I like her as a person. I don’t tell others anything because I don’t have any expectations from them. However, Bebika will continue to feel that I target her only." Bebika replied to her, "This is not right Pooja ma'am. I've noticed that you always target me. I feel bad about it and I think you should also tell others about their mistakes."

5/8

Taking a stand, being called dominating

Pooja actively took stand for the right in the house. When Aashika was cornered for being 'non-active' and 'zero' by contestants in the house, she burst into tears. Pooja took her side and reprimanded others for targeting her. She scolded the con While most felt she was dominating in the house including Pooja's mother, it was only Abhishek who would counter her. They would, however, always clarify and sort out things.

Pooja on recovering from her alcohol addiction

In one of the initial episodes of the show, Pooja quite openly spoke about her drinking. She said, "I realised I had a drinking problem. That is why I openly let everyone know about my addiction and how I have decided to quit drinking. Because addiction and recovery hindustan mein mard ki jageer hai. Society gives license to men that they can speak up about being addicted to alcohol and recover from it. However, women don't openly drink and so they don't openly recover. I used to drink openly so when I thought of recovering from alcoholism I realised that why should I recover in the closet?" She added that she did get criticised for it.

7/8

Revealing about her personal life

Pooja didn't shy away from talking about her failed marriage with Manish Makhija that lasted over a decade. She shared, "I was married for almost 11 years then we decided that something is not right and it is not working out. We should not live a lie and it is not a dress rehearsal. You get one chance in life. He was part of the entertainment industry. He is a very good human being. He is a Capricorn and that’s why we got along very well." She claimed they parted ways on a good note. Pooja also revealed that she didn't want kids at that point of time even though she loves them.

8/8

Sharing that she once had only Rs 4000 in her bank account

During a task, Pooja Bhatt ended up calling the wildcard contestants 'chote log' that created a huge furore in the house. She later explained, "I meant people with low thinking. If people get stuck on every word that's spoken then they won't be able to talk to each other at all. They should understand the thought behind words. I also explained that by 'chote log' I meant 'choti soch'. I didn't mean to comment on someone's position, stature or bank balance. In that case, I am 'sabse choti'. When my father entered Bigg Boss OTT house, he did not hesitate to admit that when I was born he barely had Rs 1200. I've told you all that I was a big star once but there was also a time when I only had Rs 4000 in my bank account. I have never begged or asked for money from anyone. I've seen highs and lows, and it is part of showbiz. We don't belong to business families."
