Shark Tank India 2's Vineeta Singh and Anupam Mittal answer 'most asked questions'

Shark Tank India received tremendous success during season one and ever since the show went off-air, viewers had been waiting for a new season. The show, which talks about entrepreneurship returned with the second season and the social media is flooded with netizens reaction to the latest edition. However, there are many aspects of the show that the viewers are very eager to know about. Like if the show is scripted, why do the Sharks wears same outfits, will they miss Ashneer Grover this time and if they get along off-screen. Shark Tank India 2's judges Vineeta Singh and Anupam Mittal answer them all in an exclusive chat with ETimes TV. (Photo: Instagram)

Vineeta Singh on if Shark Tank India scripted

Definitely not. In fact a lot of times our extended family members and friends visit the sets of the show because they feel that the show must be scripted. But when they see for themselves they realise that Shark Tank India is not scripted at all. When we come on the sets and start shooting we are not allowed to keep our mobile phones with us, we have no idea about the pitchers, we get to know about the products and their business at that particular moment and we have to make our decisions then and there. Absolutely, nothing is shared with us beforehand and they just tell us to be ourselves. (Photo: Instagram)

Anupam Mittal on if Shark Tank India is scripted

I wish it was scripted (laughs) we would have saved a lot of money. No it is real money, real sharks and real evaluations. The viewers get to see 10-12 minutes of pitch but we grill them for an hour non-stop. There is no script. (Photo: Instagram)

Vineeta answers if the Shark Tank India judges get along

Yes, we get along very well with each other off-screen. We all are actually connected with each other and in fact our families as well. We all attend each other’s milestones and in fact we travel to different cities. We also call each other and take help in each other’s businesses and also invest in company struggles. So the Sharks get along really well off screen. (Photo: Instagram)

Anupam: We get along like a house on fire

We get along very well off-screen. On set we are on fire and throwing fire at each other but off set we get along like a house on fire. (Photo: Instagram)

Will they miss Ashneer Grover this season

Anupam Mittal shared, "I feel this show is very big and huge. It is a show through which Indians are able to fulfill their dreams and aspirations. This show is bigger than any of us, it is huge as I said earlier. It is bigger than any personality whether it is me, or anybody else. Nobody from us can make or break the show. The magic is in how we all come together, the magic is in the founders, the show, and is all about the pitchers, and entrepreneurship. It is not about me or any other Shark, it is about India. The upcoming season is going to be explosive, dhamakedar and there's no doubt about it. And nobody is going to miss anyone this season. (Photo: Instagram)

Vineeta on Ashneer Grover's absence

Vineeta Singh shared, "I am going to miss Ashneer Grover, I think he was good. But whatever happened was between him and the channel. The show is not going to have any impact. I feel season 2 is going to be phenomenal. And I believe that 'The Show Must Go On'." (Photo: Instagram)

Vineeta on fame: "Mohalle waali aunty toh Tabhi khush hoti hai jab aap TV par aao”

The feedback I am getting is really good. When I speak to a young 8 year-old girl who tells me she wants to be an entrepreneur like me, it is an amazing feeling. While growing up for me I never had women entrepreneurs as role models for me. And now these girls have Namita, me and other women entrepreneurs who are pitching on the show and to be a part of that change means a lot to me. Yes, it happens when I am at the airport or a mall - people do come for selfies, photos and you are not ready for it. I become conscious when people constantly look at me. The adjustment takes time but as Aman says, “Woh mohalle waali aunty toh Tabhi khush hoti hai jab aap TV par aao”. (Photo: Instagram)

Anupam Mittal on fame: I have to be very honest I enjoy fame a lot

I have to be very honest, I enjoy fame a lot. Who doesn’t enjoy fame? Like I say "I am Anupam Mittal naam toh suna hi hoga" but with my name now people remember my face as well because of Shark Tank India. Who doesn’t like to be admired? Now people come and ask for a selfie. Some of them get nervous while clicking selfies. If we are crossing roads, they stop their vehicle and hold our hands to talk to us. While we enjoy it, we also feel that we are giving a platform to so many people who aspire to be entrepreneurs. With great power comes great responsibility and now with great fame comes greater responsibility of how to use it. (Photo: Instagram)
