Jain), which got halted. And suddenly the focus shifted to Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akshara (Hina Khan). Since then, the current track (love track between Naira and Kartik) has left Rohan hardly with anything to do. Gossip mongers insist that his real life romance with his co-actor Kanchi Singh has not gone down well with the makers. Creatively the actor feels he has nothing more to do, and has opted out of the show.

bumped off the male lead, Pearl V Puri. There were constant reports of Pearl's alleged unprofessionalism that prompted the makers to cut his journey short on the show. His relationship with Hiba Nawab, his co-actor resulted in a lot of issues with the makers. Producer Rahul Tewary in an interview to Bombay Times, though denied it. He said, "We want to spruce up the show. There is no truth to what has been circulated about Pearl."

The actress, who played Angoori Bhabhi on the show, said the problem started when the makers asked her to sign a contract that would bar her from doing other shows. Shilpa was keen on doing Kapil Sharma’s show but the contract did not allow her to do so. All speculation and rumours whether Naitik (Karan Mehra) will continue to be part of the show were laid to rest when his wife posted the news of his exit owing to health reasons. But there is more than meets the eye here for Karan choosing to opt out. Sources confirmed that the actor was exhausted playing Naitik for seven years and wanted more creativity and scope to showcase his acting skills. Though the two Karan Mehra and Hina Khan aka Naitik-Akshara have been a popular jodi for seven years, increasing amount of issues and differences between the two finally forced Karan to call it ‘quits’.
