Fitness is a lifestyle for me, it’s non-negotiable: Ishu Tomar
Actor Ishu Tomar, currently seen as the antagonist Bhanu in Shehzadi… Hai Tu Dil Ki, says shooting in Hyderabad has been both professionally smooth and personally comfortable. Alongside his demanding schedule, the actor makes sure his fitness routine remains uncompromised.
He says, “Hyderabad has been great—the people are extremely warm,” Ishu shares. “I’ve been here before while shooting for a feature film, so I’m familiar with the city. It honestly feels like coming back to your own place. The food and the work culture make it very easy to settle in.”
The actor says that being comfortable in a city helps him stay focused on performance, especially while portraying a layered antagonist like Bhanu.
A fitness enthusiast, Ishu calls discipline the backbone of his routine. “Fitness is a lifestyle for me—not a phase, not a choice. It’s non-negotiable,” he states firmly. “Even in Hyderabad, with hectic shooting schedules, I don’t compromise. On working days, I’m in the gym at 5 AM before the world wakes up. On my day off, I train in the afternoon—but I train. Every single day.”
For him, it’s about consistency over convenience. “Balancing work and fitness isn’t easy, but I don’t believe in convenience. I believe in discipline. As an actor, my body and mind are my tools. If I’m not sharp, I’m not ready. And I always want to be ready.”
Addressing the challenges of television, he adds, “I don’t see it as more struggle—just a different kind. Television demands consistency, stamina, patience, and strong focus because of long working hours. I feel blessed to be doing what I love. My approach is simple: give your best and trust the process.”
