Parul Chauhan is back in action. The actress, who is best known for playing Ragini in Bidaai, will soon enter as Mrs Goenka (Kartik's step-mom) in Yeh Rishta Kehlata Hai, which airs on
Star Plus.
The show will see the exit of its lead character
Hina Khan soon, but Parul is not going to be her replacement. Her character will be pivotal and central to the story.

Talking about teaming up with Yeh Rishta's producer and mentor Rajan Shahi, Parul had earlier told The Times of India, ""Working with Rajan Shahi is great. He is my godfather whatever I am today is because of him. It has been 8 to 9 years in the industry and everyone still recognize me as Ragini from Bidaai and I feel so proud. I remember the day Rajan Sir called me and without asking anything I said yes I am doing the show. I feel great even today when I get calls from his office for anything. The craze of Bidaai is still there and it's all because of him. I got my first break because of Directors Kut. He presented me perfectly. The way they take care of actors is exemplary. It's homecoming for me. I am sure people will love me in Yeh Rishta...."
'Yeh Rishta' has seen two of its lead actors quit the show this year. While Karan recently got eliminated from the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 10, Hina plans to start her production house with rumoured boyfriend Rocky.
