Farnaz Shetty takes care of friend Shafaq Naaz after she suffers from a slip disc

It is said that adversity is the real test of a relationship. If that’s true, Farnaz Shetty and Shafaq Naaz have passed with flying colours. The actresses have been friends for a long time, but their dosti has become even stronger during the lockdown.
In fact, now that Shafaq has suffered from a slip disc, she has moved into Farnaz’s home and the latter is taking care of her.Farnaz tells us, “Shafaq and I have known each other by virtue of being in the same profession, but we grew closer this year, especially during the lockdown.”
After Shafaq was swamped with messages, inquiring about her whereabouts, Farnaz announced on her social media page that she is fine and is with her at her home. The actress says, “Shafaq gets a lot of messages because her show, ‘Mahabharat’, is currently on air. It was getting increasingly difficult for her to reply to every message. Hence, I decided to put up a post telling her followers, fans and well-wishers that she is doing fine and will get back soon.”
Talking about Shafaq’s health woes, Farnaz adds, “When she first experienced back pain, she called me to check if I could get her the medicine. However, the pain worsened soon, rendering her immobile. I immediately rushed her to a physiotherapist, who diagnosed her with a level-two slip disc. It might take her weeks or even months to recover.”
Farnaz says, “She is staying with me right now. Our homes are 10 minutes away from each other. I live with my family, while she stays alone. It can get quite difficult to manage things when you are alone and unwell. So, I got her to stay with me to make sure that there is always someone to tend to her.”
