They started dating in June last year while shooting for the show Kashibai Bajirao Ballal. Farnaz Shetty and Rohit Chandel were going strong until a few months ago. The actress claims she ended the relationship earlier this year. While Farnaz accuses him of cheating on her, Rohit denies the claims.
She says, “Conflicts arose soon after we started dating. Once, I caught him with another girl. He confessed to cheating on me and begged for forgiveness. Though I forgave him, I began to develop trust issues. To make matters worse, he would block me and ignore my calls. Eventually, I ended the relationship in March. I couldn’t tolerate the infidelity.”
She adds, “I am old school and cannot be in an open relationship. I am a one-man woman and expect the same from my partner. Rohit has tried to get in touch with me, but I am in no mood to forgive him.”
On his part, Rohit says, “I have never cheated on her. Farnaz accompanied me to my sister’s wedding in my hometown. If I wasn’t serious about our relationship, why would I make her meet my family? These allegations are false.”
He adds, “Most of my relationships suffer because when I am at work, I am only focused on it. I don’t like being distracted. I guess that might have created some issues between us.”
On the work front, Farnaz, who has been part of shows like Balika Vadhu, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera, Suryaputra Karn and Waaris, was last seen in Swaraj. Rohit, on the other hand, has been roped in to play one of the four male leads in Pandya Store post the time leap.
