Viraf and Saloni, who got engaged in February this year, believe that opting for a low-key ceremony ensured that nobody’s health was put at risk. However, the couple asserts that tying the knot in these uncertain times was a way of bringing hope and certainty in their lives.

The couple looked regal and radiant as bride and groom

Neither Viraf nor Saloni’s family members were present for the wedding ceremony as the couple wanted to ensure their safety considering the rising number of COVID cases. Speaking exclusively with us, Viraf says, “We convinced our respective parents and families to not travel in these scary times. So, it was just us and three friends, who were also the witnesses for the court wedding. Two of them recovered from COVID two weeks ago, and the third one has already taken both doses of the vaccine.”

What’s interesting was that instead of a ring, the Viraf gave Saloni a rubber band. “I couldn’t get a ring for her this time as it wasn’t available. So, I put a rubber band on her ring finger," laughs Viraf. On her part, Saloni adds, "I am anxious, hopeful and excited, all at the same time! This was more memorable than I had thought."

Viraf adds, “It is a very special day for both of us and our families. The ceremony may have been simple, but it was memorable. We hope that all our near and dear ones continue to shower their love and blessings on us. We had our family and friends by our side, in spirit, and three cool witnesses to our special moment. It was just perfect!"
