Kanwar Dhillon, who is currently dominating the TRP charts with his hit TV show Udne Ki Aasha, recently underwent surgery and has taken a brief break from shooting. The show has been performing exceptionally well, dethroning Anupamaa to claim the top spot for the past three weeks. In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Kanwar spoke about his surgery and shared how the production house has been handling the shoot in his absence.
Speaking about the surgery, Kanwar shared, "I recently underwent a major dental surgery and currently have multiple stitches in my mouth, making it impossible to shoot while swollen. Thankfully, my team has been very understanding and supportive, allowing me the time off I need to recover. Hope to bounce back soon.
Despite his short break, the team has ensured smooth operations, highlighting the actor's importance to the show while prioritizing his recovery. When asked if his absence is affecting the telecast since he carries the show on his shoulders, Kanwar said, "Fortunately, we have a good bank of episodes, so we don’t operate on a cut-to-cut schedule. However, I understand that when the lead of a show steps back, it does impact the shoot, and I’m sure it’s the same for Udne Ki Asha as well. I had been shooting with swelling and relying on painkillers for quite some time, and the production team had noticed. This made them even more understanding of the urgency of my surgery."
On being asked when he is bouncing back to work, The actor said, "I’ll be back on set very soon—just a few more days, and I’ll return to the place I love and enjoy being the most."
Kanwar has been making waves with his exceptional performance in Udne Ki Asha, a show that has quickly captured the audience's hearts and dominated the TRP charts.
