Exclusive: TV's Nimki Mukhiya Bhumika Gurung on her relationship with restaurateur Shekhar Malhotra

If you desperately try to find love, then it never happens. It happens when it has to. Television actress Bhumika Gurung swears by this. She was in a peaceful state after she moved on from her seven-year relationship with Amit Singh Gosai some time ago.
She was in no mood to get into another relationship. But destiny had other plans and she has found love again. Since December 2020, Bhumika has been dating restaurateur Shekhar Malhotra.He is also actress Mahhi Vij’s cousin.
Talking about her relationship, Bhumika says, “When the right person comes along I think whatever we plan goes for a toss and things happen the way they have to happen,” says Bhumika.
So what is it about Shekhar that prompted her to take things ahead of him?“I think it is about the way the person makes you feel and Shekhar makes me feel safe and secure. He loves me unconditionally and is loyal to me. I think in today’s time loyalty is something which has become rare. He not only gives me time but makes me feel good about myself. He is there for me and even for my family and friends. When we are together we don’t need anyone else,” shares Bhumika.
Talking about the time when they met, she says, “I am a shy person by nature. Shekhar made the first move; he proposed but we knew that it was mutual. We were only friends but later started talking and meeting often and here we are today. Happily in love. This was meant to happen."
Is marriage on the cards? “We want to work and stay together. We are totally focused on our work right now and going with the flow. We are planning to go for a holiday together but are still confused where to go?” laughs Bhumika.
