Actress Snehal Waghmare, last seen in the TV show Tenali Rama, is delighted to enter Ekta Kapoor's long-running TV series Kumkum Bhagya.
The show has been one of the longest running shows on the channel. Spanning for over 10 years now, the show is currently in its fourth generation post the recent generation leap introduced in the show. After this leap, while Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma called it quits, currently Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra were introduced as the new leads.
Snehal will be seen essaying the role of Akshay Bindra's youngest aunt who will enter the family.
She said, "I'm delighted to join the show. After a long time, I'm playing a family or Saas Bahu show. Otherwise I was essaying roles in mythological, period drama or doing some action as a cop. So this is something fresh for me and I'm looking forward to it. Here I'll get to wear a stylish saree, and get a glam look too. My audience will see me in a new avatar."
Talking ahead about her role, she continued, "I'm playing Chachi of the hero. She was away from the family as her husband (Hetal Puniwala) had a history of fraud. But now we are back to family. Our entry will bring a new twist and drama."
Snehal also feels blessed to become part of Ekta Kapoor's show. "I'm really thankful to the production, Ekta Ma'am, for giving this opportunity. I'm living a dream with this collaboration. I hope to win the audience's heart and appreciation from ma'am with my portrayal."
Snehal is known for acting in shows like Shrimad Ramayan, Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali, and Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi among others.
