Nitish Bharadwaj, best known for his portrayal of Krishna in the Mahabharat television series, is currently in the news for filing a police complaint against his estranged wife, Smita Bharadwaj, citing mental abuse. The actor brought his complaint to the Bhopal police, eliciting a strong reaction on social media. Nitish appears to have accused his wife of harassment since she refuses to allow him to meet their children.

Now, Chinmay Vaidya, representing Smita Bharadwaj exclusively spoke to ETimes TV addressing the matter. He claimed that the statements were false, he said, The statements made by Nitish Bhardwaj are completely false and defamatory in nature. "It is a personal matter where my client's children are involved, and the case is sub judice. We shall be releasing a statement shortly, narrating the facts." Also, a detailed statement will be released by the end of this week.

As exclusively shared previously, Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra, Commissioner of Bhopal confirmed with ETimes TV about the complaint filed by Nitish, he said, "We have received the complaint and an additional DCP is enquiring into the complaint filed by Bhardwaj."

According to a publication, Nitish alleged in his complaint that he and Smita filed for divorce in 2018. Despite the continuing legal process, Nitish claims his separated wife is preventing him from seeing his twin daughters, Devyani and Shivranjani.

According to the Free Press Journal, Nitish Bharadwaj submitted a written complaint against his estranged wife, Smita, documenting their 12-year marriage and subsequent decision to seek divorce in 2018 at the Mumbai Family Court. Despite the passage of time, their divorce has not been finalized and the matter is still ongoing. Nitish claims that Smita has violated his rights as a father by refusing to let him meet their daughters.
