Exclusive: Sheetal Maulik bids adieu to her character as Neeta Khurana in Barsatein; says ‘I got to show my quality as an actor’
Barsatein – Mausam Pyar Ki starring Kushal Tandon, Shivangi Joshi and Simba Nagpal has wrapped up its shoot and the show will go off-air soon. Sheetal Maulik, who played the role of Neeta Khurana, Simba aka Jay’s mother, shared her experience with ETimes TV.
Sheetal shared, “I joined the show 3 months back. But there are some shows and there are people in some shows, that you bond with them real quick. So here I am taking back a lot of good memories. I made many good friends. I would fight with them on-screen, but off-screen they were very good friends because we did so many scenes together.”
Talking about her character, Sheetal said, “I got to portray a different role. My styling changed. I am very happy about the fact that normally in Indian shows, a mother’s character doesn’t get to dress up like this. But I got that chance. I am very thankful for that.”
She also said, “Then I got to work with such an experienced director – Atif Sir. I added a lot to my kitty with this experience. Balaji is such a big production house, so big and such warm people. I got an opportunity to work with such professional actors. This show is ending but this show has been so important and it will have a special place in my heart forever.”
The actress joined the show in November and said she preferred quality acting over the duration of the show. She said, “I was so happy to play Neeta Khurana. I would love to play more such characters because I liked my look. This show might be for 3 months but when you think about it, it is always quality over quantity. As an actor, I got to show my quality as an actor. I would like to thank my fans, audience, cast, crew and even those who are not my fans. This is Neeta Khurana signing off.”
Recently, the lead actors took to social media bidding adieu to the show.
