Exclusive - Shakti Anand reacts to exit rumours from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: says "For me, Kyunki is an emotion"
Seasoned actor Shakti Anand is currently seen playing the central character in recently launched show, Mahadev & Sons. Due to his new show, rumours of him quitting Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has been doing the rounds. However, in an exclusive conversation with Times of India TV, the actor clarified that he has not quit the iconic show and would love to juggle between Kyunki 2 and Mahadev & Sons.
Speaking about rumours of quitting Kyunki, the actor shared, “Yes, of course, I would love to manage both shows, Kyunki 2 and Mahadev & Sons. I've not quit the Kyunki. I am still in discussions with the creative team. Once my role here is clearly defined and everything falls into place, I feel I can definitely return. The team there has always been very supportive."
When asked if he is ready to juggle between Kyunki 2 and Mahadev & Sons, "I have built every phase of my journey with that show (Kyunki) on my own. As I mentioned, I truly want to do both shows because Kyunki is not just another project for me. It is my debut show and the one that made me a household name, so I don’t want to leave it," he said.
Shakti called Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi an emotion and revealed how the show changed his life, "Kyunki is not just a show for me; it is an emotion. I clearly remember when I was told that Kyunki was being brought back and asked if I would like to be a part of it. I immediately said yes without even listening to the character or the story narration. Kyunki gave me the opportunity to establish myself in this industry and made me a household name,” he concluded.
The season 2 of the iconic TV show recently took a six years leap and showed Tulsi (Smriti Irani) and Mihir Virani (Amar Upadhyay) living apart.
