After actors of the TV show Anupamaa tested COVID-19 positive, the latest being Tassnim Sheikh, the makers now have a reason to rejoice. Well, if sources are to be believed, lead actress
Rupali Ganguly has tested negative for COVID on Friday evening.
"Yes, the news is true and Rupali is really happy about this latest development. She was eagerly waiting for the test results which came in the evening today.
Rupali is now keen to get back to her family and resume work soon," shares a source from the production house, adding, "Rupali will start shooting for the show next week. In all probability,
Sudhanshu Pandey, the male lead too will join in a few days, along with actor Ashish Mehrotra, who too had tested COVID positive sometime back. Paras Kalnawat, whose dad passed away a few days back, is also back on the sets. We are keeping our fingers crossed... hopefully there will now not be too many changes required in the script."
Rupali also shot for a scene on her mobile phone which was aired on the show on Thursday.
Eagerly waiting to test negative, Rupali in an exclusive interview with us a few days ago, had shared what she would like to do once she recovers. "The first thing that I want to do once I test negative is to go and hug, kiss and smell my son. For a mother what it means to cuddle her child. I was worried about my son and other family members. Fortunately their tests came out negative," she says.
