Rohit details about his character

So, I can't divulge much about the character but it's an exploring genre for me as I haven't played such a character before. As it is a horror comic, you will get to see a lot of punches of comedy with my character. The dialogues of the role are amazing so I am sure fans will love watching this character.

On picking a new genre

As of now, I am not sure how there would be changes in the script, but all I can say is that he is an artist, he leaves his family's business and focuses on his passion. As we know the channel often focuses on realistic shows, so I was told not to treat the character as a hero but as a normal boy, would have a few interesting heroic actions but more on the realistic side.

What inspires his character?

I haven't taken any inspiration from Rajkummar Rao, though I have watched the movie. But I wanted to add my own touch. So earlier, I had difficulty understanding how should I navigate my role as there are some similarities with Dhaval, especially on the comic side. I had faced issues, but then I found my inspiration around me and worked on the role.

How has Kolkata been treating him?

Kolkata is really nice, full of culture, art, joy and love. This is my first time in the city and it has been quite amazing. I was mentally prepared that I had to stay here for long. And I really enjoy shooting out of Mumbai, so it's fun. I think I have only shot Pandya Store in Mumbai and the rest all my shows have been in different cities.

Rohit's take on picking Horror comic

For me, Horror comic is an experimental genre, I have done drama, historical and masala shows earlier, but this adds horror. And I can't get scared onscreen, fear is one of the most difficult emotions to portray. But I still take a bit from Dhaval when it comes to the comic timing. Even I am waiting for the audience's reaction and how they would accept me in a fresh character and a different genre.
