Actor Nitin Babu opened up about portraying the character of Chirag Patel in Pushpa Impossible. The show features Karuna Pandey Vaidya in the lead role of Pushpa, while Nitin plays her younger son.
Speaking about his role, the actor said, “Stepping into the role of Chirag after the leap in the show is both thrilling and emotional. Chirag’s journey now carries a deeper complexity. He is idealistic, ambitious, and caught between doing what’s right and what’s practical. His relationship with Prarthana (Pooja Katurde) adds another layer of conflict, as love and principles collide."
Nitin continued, "For me, it’s an opportunity to portray a character who represents today’s youth, passionate yet conflicted, trying to make a difference in a world that isn’t always black and white.”
Nitin earned immense popularity for playing the role of Sagar in Anupamaa. He also appeared in shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Nath - Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani. He feels the show is another highlight in his filmography.
He shared, "Post Anupamaa, I'm sure this is another big project for me. This is not less than a lead role. I was not in a hurry after my role ended in Anupamaa. Instead I was working on myself and my art. Good things take time. By God grace I'm happy with this powerful role. Rupali Ganguly ma'am was also happy for me, she congratulated me. I was delighted to work with her and learnt a lot from Rupali ma'am. And now I'm getting to learn from Karuna ma'am."
Pushpa Impossible has taken a 7-year leap, bringing major twists to the storyline and characters. Pushpa Patel (Karuna Pandey) is now an advocate, facing all new personal and professional challenges. Nitin replaced Darshan Gurjar post leap.
