Ganesh Chaturthi is one festival Nikki eagerly looks forward to every year, but this time, the actress is missing out on the celebrations as she is down with a high fever of 103°.
Known for her festive spirit and devotion to Lord Ganesha, Nikki shared her disappointment at not being able to participate in the celebrations this year. “The fever is getting terrible and I’m not able to celebrate my favourite festival, Ganesha,” Nikki expressed, highlighting how the illness has left her weak and confined to rest.
Fans who are used to seeing Nikki in vibrant festive spirits were left concerned as news of her health surfaced. The actress, however, continues to remain hopeful about recovering soon and sent her wishes to everyone celebrating across the country.
Sharing her ordeal, Nikki revealed that the illness caught her completely off guard, especially since she had just returned from Dubai. “I honestly don’t even know how this happened. When I was in Dubai, I never realised any mosquito bit me. As far as I know, a mosquito never bit me, so it’s very shocking to know how dengue happened to me. I’m already in shock—despite taking care of myself, I still don’t understand how this happened,” Nikki expressed.
The actress added that her health has been deteriorating over the past week. “I’ve been unwell for the last six days. My face is so swollen, I can't even tell you. I'm sleeping almost 24/7, eating medicines, and trying to stay hydrated. Right now, I'm taking a break for 10 days to completely recover because this has taken a toll on me,” she said.
Nikki's candid admission reflects the unpredictable nature of dengue, which often takes patients by surprise. Her message serves as a reminder that despite precautions, the illness can strike unexpectedly.
