A doctor can mend almost everything, even a broken heart. Ask Maera Mishra about it. The Bhagya Lakshmi actress, who broke up with Adhyayan Suman in 2020, has fallen in love with Dr Rajul Yadav, who is based in Delhi. Maera bumped into Rajul at a wedding on December 1 and met him again at a common friend’s birthday party the following day in Mumbai. She shares, “I had almost declined my friend’s invite to attend her party, but I am glad I did, and the rest is history.”
She reveals that she had no plans of getting into a relationship and had told her parents to find a match for her. She says, “I focused all my energies on my work and stopped going out or meeting people. So, there was no chance of falling in love. I told my father that since I couldn’t find anyone, he should find a guy for me.”

It was Rajul’s caring nature that attracted Maera to him, and her simplicity drew him towards her. She says, “He takes care of me, loves me, and makes me feel special. Actors are believed to be haughty and high maintenance. However, I am quite old-school and simple. That’s what Rajul appreciates about me. You should be with the person who gives you confidence and not someone who pulls you down. I can be myself when I am with him, and I have never felt like this before. In my past relationship, I wasn’t being myself.”
Even though it’s been a little over two months since they started dating, the couple is serious about each other. Maera says, “When you feel strongly about somebody, you won’t think about it being too early. Our families know about this. My mom loves him. I can see a future with him and would love to settle with him someday.”
The actress says the two can talk about everything under the sun, including their past. “He knows my deepest secrets. We don’t bother about each other’s past and have spoken about it just once,” she concludes.
