Exclusive - Maddam Sir fame Yukti Kapoor on her fitness and diet routine; says 'I eat two proper meals, one at 12 noon and another around 7 in the evening'
Popular TV actress Yukti Kapoor, known for her lively roles and glowing screen presence, is a true example of how to stay healthy and balanced even with a super busy schedule. From long shooting hours to physical roles, she manages to stay fit, fresh, and full of energy. In an exclusive conversation, Yukti shared her simple but effective wellness routine from her diet and workout habits to skincare and daily rituals that help her stay grounded and glowing.
When asked how she keeps going through long shoots. “I always tell myself it’s going to be a good day that keeps my energy up. Your mindset really matters. I try to stay positive and remind myself to stay energetic. I believe when I am happy from inside, it shows outside too. I try to enjoy every scene I shoot. That happy attitude gives me energy to shoot for hours without feeling tired.”
Speaking about her workout regime, “To be honest, I’ve recently started doing yoga in the mornings, and I’m truly loving it,” she shared. “I wake up early and do yoga with my tutor. It helps me stay calm, focused, and flexible. I can already feel the difference in my body and mind. Even with a packed shooting day, yoga makes me feel fresh and active.”
“It’s all about how you talk to yourself. If I tell myself it’s a lazy Sunday, I’ll automatically feel lazy. But when I’m going to work, I say to myself, ‘I’m strong, I can do this.’ Even during action scenes, I remind myself that I have the strength. And honestly, it works like magic. Your mind is more powerful than you think,” she explained.
Her diet, too, is simple and practical, based on timing rather than strict rules. “I don’t follow a fixed diet chart. For me, it’s all about eating at the right time. I usually eat two proper meals, one at 12 noon and another around 7 in the evening. That works well for my body. But I do enjoy my weekends. I eat everything I love, especially simple homemade food like daal chawal. It’s my comfort food.”
Fans often praise Yukti’s glowing skin, and she makes sure to care for it despite heavy makeup and lighting on set. “Skincare needs consistency. I try to follow a proper morning and night routine. Earlier, I used to sleep with makeup on when I was tired, but now I make sure to remove it before sleeping. I use homemade face packs, sheet masks, and lots of moisturiser. I also drink plenty of water and never skip sunscreen. These small habits make a big difference.”
Hydration is key during long shooting days, and Yukti keeps it simple. “I drink nimbu pani and have electrolytes when I feel low or tired. It really helps me stay fresh and prevents dehydration, especially when we’re shooting in hot weather or under strong lights.”
One wellness habit she never skips, no matter how busy she is, is meditation. “Every day, I try to start my morning with good thoughts. I pray, think positively, and send love to my family and close ones. I believe kindness and gratitude keep you calm from inside. Meditation has helped me a lot. Even if it's just 10 minutes, it gives me peace and helps me handle everything better.”
With her positive mindset, balanced lifestyle, and dedication to self-care, Yukti Kapoor is truly an inspiration for staying healthy and happy in a fast-paced world.
