Exclusive - KKK12's Jannat Zubair Rahmani on missing acting: Many don't know I was a child actor, they only know me as a social media influencer

Jannat Zubair Rahmani, who has proved her acting caliber in various TV shows and characters, is now showing her adventurous side in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. The actress is one of the contestants this season and recently joined ETimes TV for an exclusive chat. During the interview, Jannat called KKK12 once in a lifetime experience and also shared that she very well knew what she was signing up for and hence there was no way to abort stunts due to fear. The actress stated that she is the youngest on the sets and is enjoying all the pampering and is also taking full advantage of it. Further, commenting on her bond with Mr Faisu, Jannat shared she has cleared the air about her linkup rumours with him multiple times and she can't keep explaining it to everyone. I’ve surprised myself a lot and I know that I will have to do the stunts as I’ve signed up to conquer my fears. I can’t come here and say that I won’t be able to do stunts. We all have watched the previous season and we all know the level of stunts contestants perform on the show. I was very clear in my mind that I won’t abort any stunts, I’ve to finish it whether I win it or come last. I’ve enjoyed doing all the stunts and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it. We don’t learn about the stunts till the time we don’t go and perform them. Rohit Shetty sir tells us that this is the stunt and now this person will perform that’s when we get to know about the stunt. So it’s like a surprise for everyone. This is the first time my parents are not with me on the sets, so they also go through anxiety about which stunt I would be performing. After I finished my first stunt I called up my mom and dad both at the same time and informed them. My dad is with me here in Cape Town, but he is not allowed on the sets. They were very nervous but when I told them about my stunt they were very excited. (Photo: Instagram)

It is a big support when you have someone (Mr Faisu) in the show who you have known for so long. It is a huge advantage that you are going on a set which has a new set of people but you have that one person who you have known for a long time. But I also feel that it also has cons because now Faisu and I are on a reality show where we have to compete with each other. To be fair with the game, you have to give your 100 percent even though the person opposite you is your friend. Everyone on the sets is so good whether it is the team, Rohit sir or the contestants. And especially when you are the youngest you get all the attention and pampering. I get that extra good treatment from everyone and I take full advantage of it (laughs). (Photo: Instagram)

There have been multiple times when Faisu and I’ve cleared the air that it’s not necessary that if you are working with someone or posting pictures, you are saying that person. I feel you can explain people only to an extent and if they still want to continue linking us up, then I can’t go on explaining. From my side I’ve cleared multiple times, even Faisu has done it. I’ve stopped doing music videos as well, the last video I did was a month ago. I do miss facing the camera and acting. Joh ek actor waali feel hoti hai which we get while performing scenes or emotions, different emotions like happy, sad, angry that I miss a lot. Acting is something which is in my blood and I want to continue doing it. Lot of people in fact are not aware that I was a child actor, they only know me as a social media influencer. I want to try out new things and explore new opportunities. Television is something where I’ve spent my entire childhood, when I say my entire childhood I mean it. I started when I was 6/7 years old and my last TV show I did was when I was 17, I was about to turn 18 then. So major hone ke pehle pura bachpana Mera television par kaam karte nikla hai. Post that I started doing music videos, now I am doing a reality show and I won’t repeat them because I want to do new things. (Photo: Instagram)

I am not open to doing OTT. I’ve never really considered doing shows on OTT because of the bold content. The major reason for staying away from web shows has been the bold content and I’ve never looked into that space. But if I get offered a performance oriented role I would definitely do it.
