The winner of
Sa Re Ga Ma
Pa: Music Ka Tyohaar has been declared. Nineteen- year-old
Neelanjana Ray
lifted the trophy along with 10 lakh prize money a few minutes ago. Whereas
Rajashri Bag
became first runner up and
Sharad Sharma
the second runner up on the show. We spoke to the young singer, who won the hearts of the audience, soon after she was declared the winner.
An excited
Neelanjana
told us, "I am extremely happy to be lifting this trophy. But for me, the main goal was to win the hearts of the audience and garner their love. After receiving so much love from people, winning the trophy is like a bonus for me."
Her parents are ecstatic. Talking about their reaction after her name was announced as the winner, she said, "They are the happiest right now and their happiness means the most to me. Every parent wishes the best for their child and my parents always had this dream that I would win Sa Re Ga Ma Pa."
Talking about her journey so far, Neelanjana says, "Every person faces some or the other difficulty in life. But I feel lucky that I haven't faced anything major in my life yet. Learning music isn't easy and then singing in a reality show like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa among such good singers is also tough. But I have had an interesting journey."
She belongs to Alipurduar, a small town in
West Begal
, and her neighbours and people back home are eagerly waiting for her to return home. A Class XII, Neelanjana is also gearing up for her upcoming board exams. "Once I get back home, I will focus fully on my studies," she said.
