Tunisha Sharma, who played Shehzaadi Mariam in Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul, reportedly died by suicide yesterday (December 24). According to police officials, the actress hanged herself to death on the sets of her fantasy-themed TV show and there was no suicide note found. The actress was 20 years old.
Tunisha's co-actor Rumi Khan spoke to Bombay Times. He said, "I am shocked! I still can't believe this. Yesterday I wasn't shooting, but around 2 pm we had a quick chat over messages."
Rumi and Tunisha shared a beautiful bond. He said, "Tunisha was a very well-behaved girl and a fine actress. On the career front, she was doing so well. We shared a lovely bond."
He added, “She was like a daughter to me. She lost her father a few years ago and used to tell me that I resembled him. That was our special bond and I really cared for her. My heart goes out to her mother and all her fans. I don’t know how this happened and I am completely shocked even now. It's unbelievable."
A few hours before her death, Tunisha had put up an Instagram story where she was getting her make up done for the shoot.
Meanwhile her co-actor Sheezan Khan was arrested under Section 306 of IPC for abetment of suicide after her mother filed a police complaint. He has now been sent to 4-day police custody by Vasai court. Tunisha and Sheezan were apparently in a relationship, but there was trouble between them in the last few days.
