Exclusive! I don't mind exploring bold content, but it should justify my character: Chashni's Amandeep Sidhu

Amandeep Sidhu's character Chandani from Chashni has garnered appreciation for her performance in the show. The actress had exclusively revealed to ETimes TV, that with all the stunts, she often has bruises but enjoys unleashing that daring side of hers with the show.

Amandeep further shared the kind of characters she loves to do and projects she would like to take up post her show Chashni.


After Chashni, would you explore OTT?

I would love to explore OTT, after Chashni for sure. I actually wanted a break after Naagin but Chashni happened. Now, I would like to explore something in OTT which is women oriented. I am inspired by Tapsee Pannu and her choices of content. I would want to do something similar to her.

Do you have reservations about the bold content?

If the character is justified when it comes to bold content then I don't think my family will have any objections. I had already spoken to my mother about it and she said that I am old enough to be aware of what kind of content I must choose and if the bold content is justifying my character then I don't mind exploring it. But yes! I would surely be choosy with what I want to pick.

Are you looking out for any specific roles further with TV?

I have explored quite a few characters, I have done negative and different characters and now, I want to be the face of the show and not any character. With web series, I would love to do characters too as there is a lot to explore when it comes to the web. Even the characters in the show have the same amount of importance and story to explore.

Have you experienced Casting Couch?

I have been fortunate enough to not face Casting Couch. I believe that Television has been the safest medium to work with when it comes to all this. I have explored other mediums but I am glad I didn't experience it and I wouldn't want to even in the future.

Do you think Social media helps in getting better roles?

I am not at all a social butterfly, I post only when I feel like posting something on social media. I try to keep my handle more real and authentic as I want to give my followers the real Amandeep Sidhu. All of us love having followers, but I have always gotten my work as per my craft. My motto is to be an actor and not just focus on social media. If my work is good then people will connect with me irrespective of the followers.
