Jigyasa Singh
Jigyasa Singh, who plays the lead actress in Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, tested positive for coronavirus some days ago. The actress has home quarantined herself and recently posted why she has been missing in action. Almost a month ago, before Jigyasa tested positive, her father and brother had also tested positive and recovered.
Jigyasa says, "It has been a terrible time.
I have just been resting all the time. I have got acute symptoms and waiting to recover soon. Since my oxygen levels were normal, I wasn't hospitalised. Before I tested positive, my father and brother had tested positive and we had all tested negative after they recovered. However, a week later, I tested positive. I am in Mumbai currently with my family and haven't yet tested negative.”
She adds, "The second wave of COVID-19 has hit people in a massive way and I thought my immunity system was strong. Post the lockdown in 2020, I was fortunate to shoot for my show and felt that since I am taking good precautions, I won't get infected."
The entire team of Shakti relocated to Agra after Maharashtra imposed restrictions and shooting came to a halt in Mumbai. Jigyasa says, "I am missing shooting for my show. I miss my director and all the crew members. The show has come a long way and recently, Rubina Dilaik and Cezanne Khan had also joined the team. I have worked hard on the show and follow it regularly to know what's happening in it. I am missing watching myself in Shakti.”
