, who had taken a break during her pregnancy, is all set to return to the small screen. The actress bid adieu to her role as Alia in Kumkum Bhagya two years ago and

Reyhnaa Pandit

replaced her after a few months.


Shikha delivered a

baby girl

in June 2020. And now, after shedding her post-pregnancy weight and looking much fitter, she is all set to enter Naagin 6. The actress is not playing naagin but will essay the role of a senior police woman in the show. Shikha says, "I have always opted for strong roles and playing a cop is one. I am super excited and delighted that after I gave birth to Alayna, I am getting to play such an action-packed role. The show is seeing a lot of twists and turns and there will be a lot of adventure. Playing a cop In the show should be interesting."

Talking about returning to the sets after a break, Shikha says, "It was a tough time reducing weight and getting fitter, but I was determined and persistent. More than that I am happy that I was not offered a mommy role because I am a mother now and the makers thought of casting me in a supernatural show as a cop."

Shikha earlier played the role of Alia for six years from 2014-2020 in Kumkum Bhagya before quitting the show. She has also been part of shows like Mahabharat, Phulwa, Sasural Simar Ka and Pavitra Rishta. She enjoys playing strong roles and has often played negative roles, too.
