Actor Hitanshu Jinsi, who plays Dhruv Shukla in Ram Bhavan —produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary is back in the show, and he’s embracing the comeback with calm confidence. Known for his nuanced performances, Hitanshu opens up about slipping back into a character that’s layered, connected, and anything but simple.
“I’m taking it one day at a time and letting the work speak””, he says, describing the return as something between comfort and discovery. “It feels familiar, yet new.”
Dhruv Shukla isn’t your typical loud presence. “He’s calm on the surface, but there’s a lot going on underneath,” Hitanshu shares. “There’s a strong emotional connection to Isha, and that adds a complexity to how he moves through the story.” Without giving away spoilers, the actor hints that Dhruv’s re-entry shifts some key equations in the plot.
What sets Dhruv apart from the roles Hitanshu has done before is the restraint. “This one’s more controlled and subtle — less about drama, more about what’s left unsaid.” He adds that slipping back into the rhythm of the show had its challenges: “Every set has its own pulse, and it takes a moment to adjust. But having worked with the team before made it easier.”
Among those he looked forward to reuniting with were his co-actors playing Om, Isha, and Gayatri. “We’ve built a good bond, and I was genuinely looking forward to the on-set fun with them again.”
As for what fans can expect from the upcoming episodes? Hitanshu teases, “Dhruv brings in a bit of everything — twists, chemistry, and confrontations. His energy definitely stirs things up.”
