Exclusive - Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan’s Amandeep Sidhu on her show ranking second on the TRP chart: "We all got so emotional"
Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, which stars Sheizaan Khan (Siddhu) and Amandeep Sidhu (Sneha), has taken the TRP charts by storm. It is now the second most popular show in India and the most popular show on the channel. Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan has always been in the top 5 TRP charts since it first aired. Viewers love everything about the show, from Siddhu and Sneha's heartfelt love story to Ganga Mai's (Shubhangi Latkar) strong stand for her and her daughter's self-respect to Durgawati's (Indira Krishnan) powerful portrayal of a strong woman. Recently becoming the number one show on the channel shows how much more popular it is becoming among the audience.
Amandeep Sidhu, who plays Sneha, also talked about how the set felt when the team found out about this big event. She says, "The mood on set was so emotional when we found out that we are the number one show on Zee TV and the number two show in all of India. The best part is that everyone is so eager to be number one in India and not settle for being number two. Everyone wants to get better and go further. With the next track and the angle of separation, I'm sure we'll be at the top soon."
She further adds, "The scenes we've been shooting lately are very emotional and well-written." I remember one scene with my on-screen mother, Ganga Mai. We both were all okay while saying our lines, but as soon as the scene was over, she got so emotional. She said she could see the pain in my eyes for Sneha, which made me overwhelmed me. I thought that if she could feel it so strongly, the audience would too. I'm very sure that we will keep getting bigger. We all worked very hard, and we really deserve it. We're already at number two, so all we have to do now is wait for the TRP charts. And of course, when we reach number one, we'll celebrate!
As of now, because of Durgawati, Ganga Mai has to make Sneha cut all ties with Siddhu. Sneha, on the other hand, thinks that someone has pressured or influenced Ganga Mai because she knows that Ganga Mai really loves Sidhu. From here on out, it will be interesting to see how the story goes.
