Actress Dalljiet Kaur, who plays the role of Bela in Dhaakad Beera, says the project has been a deeply personal and emotional experience for her. Produced by Inspire Films, the show’s storyline revolves around the concept of the powerful sibling bond between Samrat and Bela, and Daljiet feels that many people will connect with this theme.“I feel such tales give us faith in relationships, and it strongly resonates with the sibling bond we’ve all grown up with. Personally, I am literally this possessive about my sisters, so the emotions feel very real to me. It’s not just a story, it’s something that reminds you of home and unconditional love,” she says.Talking about the title of the show, Dalljiet says, “Initially, I was told the name of the show was Bhai Dooj. But when I heard Dhaakad Beera, I was actually quite impressed. The name itself speaks about the essence and strength of the show, it’s powerful, rooted, and emotional all at once. It captures the spirit of the bond beautifully.”Dalljiet says that she was drawn to the strength and emotional depth of Bela. “I love playing Bela. She’s kind and strong at the same time. There’s a certain fierceness to her, she’s always ready to stand up against what’s wrong and will go to any extent to protect Samrat. She’s protective of him like a mother, and that’s what really drew me to her. There’s an emotional depth and strength in her that I immediately connected with,” she says.Talking about her look in the show, she says, “I really like the simplicity of my look. I’m glad I haven’t been overloaded with jewellery or overly styled. Bela deserved to look grounded and real, and that simplicity works beautifully for her character.”This is the first time that Dalljiet’s working with Inspire Films. She says she has enjoyed every bit of working with them. “It’s been a great experience. They’ve been very accommodating with my dates, and the entire team has been amazing to work with.
