Dalljiet Kaur has now proudly added her mother’s name to her own. She added her mother's name to her Instagram profile, changing it to Dalljiet Prietam Kaur. This heartfelt gesture reflects the deep bond she shares with her mother. The actress took this decision on Mother's Day to honor her mom's strength and influence in her life.
When asked about the sudden addition of mom's name, she told the Times of India TV, "I feel we give less credit to our mothers for what they did to help us through thick and thin. My mother comes from a very small town but she has been the biggest strength to me through my life. Guiding me, supporting me and going against the society norms to protect me and stand by me. I added my mother’s name on Instagram just to celebrate her. I added her name in the middle on Instagram. Just want to tell her in every way that she did amazing and she is the best mother ever."
Dalljiet, who has experienced numerous highs and lows throughout her life, recently shared what inspired her to make this meaningful change. She revealed the emotional reasons behind her decision to add her mother’s name. She said, "Feeling of not giving her enough credit in life in general was one of the reasons. I was very close to my dad growing up. But when I grew up and saw all the crazy times life threw at me, I saw my parents stand strong."
Dalljiet has been a part of popular shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paayega, Bigg Boss 13. When asked how her mother feels about it? Dalljiet shared, "She does not understand Instagram. She is not looking for any validation. She knows I love her more than my life. But this was something I did to mark Mother’s Day."
