Mere Angne Mein fame Charu Asopa's hunt for a house might have come to an end but the actress related the difficult journey of finding one in Mumbai with ETimes TV. Charu, who had been living in one BHK so far, is moving to a 2 BHK now.
Talking to us, she shared, "It is not easy in Mumbai to find a house on rent and then shift to one. I had been looking for a house for a long time in this heat. It was very hectic."
The actress stated the road to finding a house wasn't easy as she is an actor and also a single mother now.
For the unversed, she has been living separately from her husband Rajeev Sen since last year. They have a daughter, Ziana, who is 15-month-old.
She said, "There are two things. First, you are an actor and then a single mother. That's also a problem. If in Mumbai, actors don't find a house, then where else will they get it?"
On being quizzed about facing a similar situation, Charu revealed, "I have faced it as a single mother. I liked one flat, they were very conservative. They learnt that I am a single mother and would be living alone with my daughter. I got to know it was bothering them."
Charu felt the need to change the house as her daughter Ziana is growing up fast.
Charu shared, "This one's a very small house. I am staying in one BHK. Earlier, I thought it was perfect for me and Ziana. But now I feel she has started walking. She runs without seeing anything and can get hurt. I am not shifting to a very big house but it's at least 2 BHK where there's a room that can be dedicated to her play."
In her interview, Charu also opened up about facing judgement for wearing revealing clothes despite being a single mother. She said that people write nasty comments, making her wonder what mentality they come from.
