Exclusive! Charu Asopa on getting trolled for cycling with her baby: I feel good that people are concerned about my child’s safety

One of the perks of showbiz is that actors have to remain always remain in the spotlight even when the greasepaint comes off. Every moment they document on social media -be it pictures or videos on social media - could either get them praises or trolled. Recently Charu Asopa got trolled for uploading a video of her cycling with her daughter Ziana.

Charu shared a video of her cycling with her seven-month-old baby Ziana on her back, without any helmet.She was trolled for being a ‘careless’ and ‘crazy’ parent, while a few actually found the video cute. She captioned the video, “First ride together on our rock rider.” Users immediately started trolling her for being so careless about her baby’s safety. On being asked about the trolling, the actress shares in an exclusive chat with us, “I got a new cycle and was taking my first ride. I didn’t step out of my building. It was in the building premises where there is no traffic. As I sat on the cycle I saw my baby looking at me - I told the nanny to tie her carrier on my back. I wanted my first ride experience with my baby. And it was hardly for a minute. I am pretty concerned about the safety of my child and will never take it so casually.”

Though people have been trolling her fiercely, Charu doesn't think there's anything wrong with it. She says, "I realised how people are concerned about our safety and well-being. I felt good and I am touched.” Charu has been quite active on social media and loves to upload her daughter’s videos of enjoying different activities with her. “I love to involve Ziana in most of the activities I do. Be it swimming or travelling. She has been traveling with me since she was two-months old. And trust me she enjoys all these activities.” There is always this pressure of unsolicited advice from people on social media. Charu does not get bogged down by them. “Initially I found parenting tips on social media quite weird. Gradually I have learnt to deal with them. Every mom has a different style of parenting and we cannot impose the same set of rules on everyone. Now I don’t pay heed to everything, but only listen to my instinct.”
