Ayushmann Khurrana has come to the rescue of ailing veteran actress
Savita Bajaj and has transferred a huge amount into her account.

, Ayushmaan called her and transferred the money which was a huge relief for us, as we were able to discharge her from the hospital.''
CINTAA had earlier given medical assistance in the case of Savita Bajaj of Rs. 50,000/- and monthly expense of Rs. 5000/- for her expenses/medicines from the past few years. Legendary Bollywood actor
Jackie Shroff, who is known for helping people, too, has helped Savita Bajaj by transferring a decent amount into her account. Savita Bajaj has now been diagnosed with emphysema (a condition that involves damage to the walls of the air sacs (alveoli of the lung) for which she will need oxygen support.

Sonu Sood has donated an oxygen concentrator which will also be of use to her.''
Earlier, in an interview with BT, Nupur Alankar had said, "It pained my heart to see Savitaji’s condition. She has been a part of the industry for several years. Today, she needed help and I wanted to be by her side. CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association), too, has been at the forefront in helping her. She was in the hospital for around 25 days and I am happy that she has been discharged today. Savitaji lived alone in a one-room kitchen apartment, but I don’t think she can do that now. So, I have decided to bring her home. I am taking her to my sister’s place and all of us will take care of her." Savita Bajaj has been moved to Nupur's sister's home as the hospital is close by from there.
Savita Bajaj, who is recuperating now, said: "I am feeling better. Nupur has been like a Godsend to me. She assured me that she would be by my side throughout and kept her word. She visited me at the hospital daily. Nupur and her sister, Jigyaasa, have brought me to their home. It seems like a miracle. Mujhe lagta hai mujhe nayi zindagi mil gayi."
Savita Bajaj has worked in films and TV and worked with actors like Anil Kapoor and
Govinda.
